The Ventspils Lutheran Congregation Church at 4 Tirgus street is a one-storey wooden building (1836) with a cone chimney preserved in its interior design.
Ventspils congregation is one of the first three Baptist congregations founded in Latvia 150 years ago. The first Baptist Prayer House in Ventspils was built in 1875 (nowadays it houses the congregation’s office and Sunday school). The present church in its turn was built in 1895.
Snow-white church built in 1898 is located on Juras street. Here you can see large sized oil painting included in the list of art monuments of national importance. By the church there is cemetery used till World War II.
Church was built in 1901 by the architecture traditions of orthodox churches of 17th century – in neo byzantine style with five domes. During World War I (1915-1918) horse stables and fuel warehouse for needs of German army were built here. After long reconstruction works church was opened only in 1927.
