Capo Zafferano is a small promontory that juts out into the Tyrrhenian Sea , belonging to the territory of Santa Flavia in the metropolitan city of Palermo . From it, proceeding westwards, the Gulf of Palermo begins, overlooked by the Conca d’Oro .The promontory of Capo Zafferano seen from Solunto
From Palermo it can be reached by means of the SS 113 by accessing the road that reaches it, immediately after the junction for Bagheria . In its vicinity there is the town of Solanto famous for the ancient trap no longer in business. Behind it is the archaeological site of Solunto .
