asa Roque Gameiro is one of the most notable references of the historical and cultural heritage of the Municipality of Amadora. Having inherited this space, and recognizing its architectural and heritage value, the Amadora City Council has endeavored to reuse it as a House of culture, permanent education and leisure.
To this end, it takes advantage of a multipurpose space capable of promoting, organizing and implementing various cultural initiatives, such as temporary exhibitions, guided tours of the House, small colloquia, receptions, conferences, entertainment shows, music, workshops, among others.
Mission
Casa Roque Gameiro’s main mission is to organize and promote temporary exhibitions and other cultural activities related to Alfredo Roque Gameiro and his family, or with the construction of the House, namely Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, responsible for the decoration of the dining room and the materials of construction, or Raul Lino, author of the project to expand the House of 1900, among others.
Objectives
– Research into the life and work of the Roque Gameiro family;
– Disclosure of the family’s artistic path;
– Promote the dissemination of the historical and patrimonial value of Casa Roque Gameiro, among the population of the municipality and the school community.
Casa Roque Gameiro was classified by the Institute of Management of Architectural and Archaeological Heritage, as a monument of public interest.

Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm
Sunday, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
