It is part of the old convent of Benedictine nuns, ordered to be built by Archbishop D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles, in 1707. With simple exterior architecture, it has a rich interior. Of a single nave, with a chancel in Baroque style. It has an exuberant pulpit of gilded and polychrome. Also noteworthy are the walls covered with historically blue and white tiles, from the beginning of the 18th century, forming a set with medallions secured and captioned, and, finally, the ceiling consists of magnificent coffered frames that illustrate the life of S. Bento.
