Clamart is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.7 km (5.4 mi) from the center of Paris.
The town is divided into two parts, separated by a forest: bas Clamart, the historical centre, and petit Clamart with urbanization developed in the 1960s replacing pea fields. The canton of Clamart includes only a part of the commune. The other part of the commune belongs to the canton of Le Plessis-Robinson.

Transport
Clamart is served by Clamart station on the Transilien Paris – Montparnasse suburban rail line. There are also several bus lines connecting Clamart to neighbouring towns.
Cycle paths
There are a few cycle paths in the city. Since May 6, 2010, the entire municipal road limited to 30 km / h has been authorized for cyclists in both directions (systematic two-way cycling in one-way streets) as required by regulation.

The town is connected to Paris and to neighboring towns, via the Île-de-France bus and tram network.

Health
At the bottom of Clamart is the large Percy army training hospital . It is one of the two large military hospitals in the Paris region with the Bégin Hospital . Among other things, it has one of the most efficient major burns services in Europe.
On the heights of Clamart, the Antoine-Béclère hospital is a public university hospital (CHU) of the Public Assistance – Hospitals of Paris (AP-HP) located in Petit-Clamart. It has a capacity of 411 beds.

Bois de Clamart
The State administers, through the National Forestry Office , the Bois de Clamart , resulting from the eastern branch of the Meudon national forest and which extends over a large western part of the town.

- Place Maurice-Gunsburg, fountain inaugurated in 1943, evoking the woodland and bucolic life of Clamart.
