The Douro School of Hospitality and Tourism – Lamego has existed since 2000, and since then it has trained outstanding professionals, who enjoy a strong integration in the job market.
The combination of pedagogical methods and approaches, modern and up-to-date equipment and installations contributes to this.
Our motto “Doing simple things, extraordinarily well!” represents the way the School wants to be seen by its stakeholders and for this it assumes a strong commitment to demand and effort, defending Values such as: BRIO, HUMILITY, AVAILABILITY and PASSION
The initial training we offer includes Dual Certification Courses (Level 4) and Technological Specialization Courses (Level 5) in the areas of Kitchen / Pastry, Restaurant / Bar, Hotel Management, Management and Kitchen Production, among others.
In continuous training, we promote different training actions, in the operational areas, in wines, in management, and in languages, as well as developing consultancy activities, taylor made training, contributing to a high quality preparation and adapted to the demands and needs of the sector.
The School is installed in a modern “campus” built from scratch and fully equipped, composed of several buildings with the capacity to accommodate up to 300 students in training. It also has an Auditorium with 300 seats with Foyer and Hall of Events, open to the public, within a framework of training with immersion in the real operation.
The school also offers a boarding school consisting of 24 triple rooms; 12 double rooms, which represents a total capacity of 96 students; Living room; Responsible apartment; Laundry, Support Cup, Storage and Infirmary.
