The CHIC occupies an important place in the public health system of Val-de-Marne and provides medico-surgical activities meeting the needs of the surrounding population. The facility currently has 531 beds.

• The CHI of Créteil has a reception service for adult, pediatric and gyneco-obstetric emergencies, and a medico-legal unit (UMJ).
• It supports all the disciplines of mother and child: obstetric gynecology, pediatrics, neonatal medicine and resuscitation, pediatric surgery and child psychiatry.
• It provides the following specialties: hepato-gastroenterology, internal medicine, multipurpose resuscitation and adult intensive care, anesthesia, oncology, digestive surgery and urology, follow-up and rehabilitation care, stomatology, occupational pathology.

Several departments are university hospitals:  gyneco-obstetrics, ophthalmology, ENT and stomatology, pediatrics, pneumology, occupational pathologies, neonatology

• It has an active and innovative Clinical Research Center (CRC) and an essential and efficient Biological Resource Center (CRB).
