One of the most important painters of the 20th century, František Kupka, was born in Opočno and is considered the founder of abstract painting. In the first castle courtyard you can visit a permanent exhibition of reproductions of his works. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to another famous native of Opočno, the composer Luboš Sluka. There is also a children’s corner in the exhibition, where art activities are prepared for children.
