Independent inpatient nursing care
Independent inpatient nursing care is provided by the nursing and care department. The work of the department is organized by the head of nursing.
Independent inpatient nursing care is required after active treatment and / or for patients with chronic diseases.
Patients come to the independent inpatient care service with a referral from a family doctor or specialist, which clearly describes the diagnoses and treatment prescribed. The referral letter should preferably be accompanied by a nursing crisis from a family or active hospital nurse. The patient receives treatment prescribed by a doctor, and nursing and care procedures help to adapt to coping problems due to his or her health condition. Nursing care is generally not subject to diagnostic tests. The need for the duration of independent inpatient nursing care is decided by the staff of the department (doctor, nursing manager) according to the actual assessed needs of the patient.
The day of arrival and departure from the hospital is considered to be one day of treatment.
The Estonian Health Insurance Fund (85%) and the patient (15%) pay the deductible for independent inpatient nursing care.
AS Räpina Hospital has an agreement with the Estonian Health Insurance Fund to provide independent inpatient nursing care.
