The School of Humanities and Cultural Studies of the University of Peloponnese operates in Kalamata . The University of Peloponnese was founded with Presidential Decree 13/2000. It is based in Tripoli and is developed at the level of integrated schools in the capitals of the Prefectures of the Peloponnese Region. The School of Humanities and Cultural Studies based in Kalamata is housed in a stone neoclassical building that was shaped accordingly in the Eastern Center of the city inside the old camp and consists of two departments : the Department of History, Archeology and Cultural Heritage Management and the Department of Filo .
The first Department started operating from the academic year 2003-04 and the second from the academic year 2005-06.
In the Department of Philology there is a Postgraduate Program entitled “Ethical Philosophy” , since 2012 there is a second Postgraduate Program entitled “Development of skills of teachers in special education and training for problem management in students with complex cognitive, emotional and social difficulties in their families » .
