The Stachelberg artillery fortress is located between the towns of Trutnov and Žacléř on the top of a ridge above the village of Babí.
Visit the extensive fortress complex from 1938, where you will see:
- one of the largest bunkers in the Czech Republic
- unique underground fortress
- exposition of Czechoslovak fortifications
- armed light fortress
- restored trenches from 1938
The offer of the area includes the sale of fast food, postcards, publications and tourist stamps and business cards. In the immediate vicinity of the fortress is the Eliška lookout tower.
Open: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00:
May and September Saturdays Sunday and public holidays
June Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
July and August daily except Mondays
October Saturdays and 28.10.
November and December only on Saturday at 13:00 (24th to 31st. daily)
