CHUC is an institution of the National Health Service, with the mission of:

a) the provision of high quality and differentiated health care, to patients in their area of ​​influence and to those of regional and national origin, in conjunction with the other health care units integrated in the National Health Service;

b) the provision of healthcare, under obligations arising from international agreements and European referral networks;

c) the training of health professionals, pre-graduate and post-graduate education, and research, namely of a translational and clinical nature;

d) integrate national or international clinical academic networks and consortia.
