Cobh Mixed National School (known locally Bellevue School) has a long tradition of educating young people. Although the buildings date from the early 1880s when they were used as the Parish school for the United Parishes of Cobh and Glanmire, they have been progressively modernised and updated in the interval and now present a very attractive environment.
We are a 3 teacher school with currently 21 pupils on roll, with classes ranging from Infants to 6th class. We have a full time SEN teacher based in our school. Our classes are small and pupils gain individual attention.
The school is funded by The Department of Education. At Cobh Mixed National School we endeavour to create a well-functioning, happy and safe environment which promotes the dignity and individuality of every pupil, enabling them to reach their full potential: cognitive, intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual. We aim to educate the whole child in a Christian atmosphere in partnership with parents/guardians and the wider community.
We currently have three Green Flags and recently received our first flag as a recognised Health Promoting School. At present we are working towards our first Active Flag.
We are currently inviting applications for enrolments for 2019-2020 in all class settings. If you wish to view the school and meet with the principal Valerie Ford we would be delighted to arrange an appointment for you without any obligation.
