Havlickuv Brod – Okrouhlicka – Vysoka – Havlickuv Brod (28 km)
From Havlíčkův Brod we take the cycle route No. 4153 towards Lípa. We pass through the village of Petrkov, where there is a spa building from 1777 (off the route) and a Baroque chateau from the second half of the 18th century, the birthplace of the poet, translator, painter and graphic artist Bohuslav Reynek. Followed by the village of Lípa (possibility of refreshments), after which we descend to Okrouhlička (again, possibility of refreshments). Here we leave the bike path and follow the yellow tourist sign. After it we continue up a steep hill, which is later laid and the first views appear. We reach the small village of Květnov, on the edge of which we cross the main road. From here we continue along the yellow asphalt and then a nice dirt road to the village of Čistá. From Čistá it is only a short distance to the village of Vysoká, which is dominated by the lookout hill of the same name. It can be reached along a green hiking trail (approx. 1 km). We continue along the cycle route no.
Havlíčkův Brod – Český dvůr – Knyk – Veselý Žďár – Havlíčkův Brod (16km)
From Havlíčkův Brod we set off on cycle route no. We descend to the village of Knyk, from where we continue along the green tourist sign to Rozňák. Here, watch out for the busy road, which we drive about 100 meters. From there we turn left in the direction of Veselý Žďár. The road leads through the forest to a steeper hill, behind the top of which you can turn left to Pelestrovská pub. From there it is necessary to return and continue to Veselý Žďár. Here we turn left and reach Havlíčkův Brod.
Havlickuv Brod – Jilem – Chotebor – Ceska Bela – Havlickuv Brod (45 km)
Z Havlíčkova Brodu vyjedeme po cyklotrase č.4153. Pojedeme po okraji parku Budoucnost a projedeme vesnicí Český Dvůr. Sjedeme do obce Knyk a opět se dáme do kopce do Horní Krupé. Následuje přejezd přes Lysou do obce Jilem. Zde odbočíme vpravo po cyklotrase č. 4154 a dojedeme po ní do Chotěboře. Ve městě se nachází renesanční radnice, později barokně upravená a zámek z počátku 18. stol. V něm sídlí městské muzeum s pamětní síní malíře Jindřicha Průchy a spisovatele Ignáta Herrmanna, prohlídka s průvodcem trvá cca 50 minut. Dále můžeme navštívit židovský hřbitov z r. 1894 a kostel sv.Jakuba, původně románský. Chotěbořské informační centrum najdeme v ulici Krále Jana, hned vedle České pojišťovny.

From Havlíčkův Brod we will follow the Posázavská cycle route No. 19 through Papšíkov, Poděbaby, Hurtova Lhota, Březinka and Vadín to Okrouhlice. After arriving in the village, we turn left in front of the bridge towards the old post office, where the painter Jan Zrzavý (1890 – 1977) lived and worked. A memorial plaque is placed on the building. We will go back and move on. After Babice we will pass the Ředkovec pond (possibility of swimming), then through Broumov Lhota uphill to Lipnice. Here is a massive Gothic castle built on a granite rock from the beginning of the 14th century, it is open to the public, the guided tour lasts about 50 minutes. The castle tower has a view up to a distance of 70 km. In the village there is Hašek’s house with a museum exhibition and the grave of the writer Jaroslav Hašek (1883 – 1923). In the town there is also a Gothic church of St. Vita, first mentioned in 1347. Back to Havlíčkův Brod we drive along the road through the villages of Dolní Dvůr, Krásná Hora, Březinka, Hurtova Lhota, Poděbaby and Papšíkov. In Havlíčkův Brod, watch out for the busy Humpolecká Street, it is possible to turn onto cycle route No. 19.

From Havlíčkův Brod we follow the red tourist route in the direction of Rozkoš. In Perknov, which is part of Havlíčkův Brod, we turn right in the direction of Veselý Žďár. We continue to Lučice and the picturesque village of Pohled. We will then drive through Přísek to Světlá n. Sázava. The town has a Baroque chateau, Empire and Neo-Renaissance, and is now used for its intended purpose. There is also a Gothic hospital founded in 1578 and the Church of St. Wenceslas from 1562. Under the mentioned church of St. Václav, there is an information center in the building of the Municipal Library. The well-known Posázavská Railway (“Posázavský Pacifik”) from 1903 also has a stop in Světlá. We can also see the Světlá underground and modern glassworks. There are numerous quarries around the city. From Světlá we can return to Havlíčkův Brod by train. If we want to continue, we will go along the cycle route No. 19 further through Smrčná, Trpišovice, Dobrovítova Lhota to Ledče n. Sázava. The city has a Gothic castle from the mid-13th century. with a cylindrical tower, from which there is a beautiful view of the valley of the river Sázava. The castle houses the city museum, a guided tour lasts about 40 minutes. The information center can be found in Ledeč on Hus Square near the bus station. Havlickuv Brod – Pribyslav – Havlickova Borova – Chotebor – Jilem – Havlickuv Brod (65 km)
From Havlíčkův Brod, we set off on cycle route No. 19 via Bartoušov, Dlouha Ves and Utín to Přibyslav. In the town there is a castle built in the style of the Italian Renaissance, now it houses a fire museum, one of the few in Bohemia. The guided tour lasts 60 minutes. In the center there are many historic houses, as well as a baroque hospital and a rectory. The information center is located in the Kurfürst House on Bechyně Square (above the bus station). From Přibyslav we continue along the cycle route No. 4122 through Dobra to Žižkov Pole, along the way we pass the recently repaired Žižka mound standing on the place where the famous Jan Žižka allegedly died. This is followed by the village of Modlíkov and then Havlíčkova Borová. Above the village on the hill is a Gothic church in a dominant position. The town is the birthplace of Karel Havlíček Borovský, whose birth house can also be visited. We continue along the cycle route 4156 through Jitkov and Marieves to Chotěboř. The town has a Renaissance town hall (later Baroque) and a castle from the early 18th century. From Havlíčkův Brod we take the cycle route No. 4153 towards Lípa. The city has a monument zone, a Baroque rebuilt castle (various cultural events and exhibitions take place here), now there is a museum with exhibits of clocks, merchant’s shops, etc. The Baroque old school also serves as a museum with an exposition of a general two-class school. Furthermore, in the city we find a Jewish ghetto with a newly renovated synagogue, which houses a Jewish museum. The Lower Gate has been partially preserved from the original city fortifications, and there are also valuable Baroque and Renaissance burgher houses on the square.
