Limited Liability Company “Komunalno-Lim” Bijelo Polje was established by the Decision of the Assembly of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, decision no. 02-2814 from 08/09 and 24/10/2013.
D.O.O. “Komunalno-Lim” Bijelo Polje, by an agreement with the municipality of Bijelo Polje, was entrusted with performing the following public utility activities:
Management of Atmospheric Waters, which includes:
- Accepting, transporting, and discharging atmospheric wastewater from public and other regulated areas connected to the public stormwater system;
- Maintaining constructed facilities and natural watercourses for the collection and drainage of stormwater.
Management of Municipal Waste, which includes:
- Collection, transportation, preparation for reuse, processing, and disposal or other waste management processes for municipal waste or household-like waste;
- Treatment of leachate from the municipal waste landfill;
- Weighing of collected waste;
- Management and maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and resources and maintenance of the landfill after closure.
Arrangement and Maintenance of Public Spaces, which includes:
- Planting and maintaining trees and other vegetation, maintaining, equipping, cleaning, and protecting parks, public green areas, and protective greenery;
- Arranging, maintaining, cleaning, and protecting recreational areas, playgrounds, beaches, riverbanks, lakes, open drainage channels, etc.;
- Arranging, maintaining, cleaning, and protecting pedestrian paths, sidewalks, squares, and other pedestrian zones and associated street furniture (including fountains, public wells, etc.);
- Maintaining bus stops used for urban public transport;
- Removing dead animals.
Maintenance of Municipal Roads, which includes:
- Repairing road facilities, including connections to urban parcels;
- Repairing and cleaning local road surfaces within road corridors and bridges and other road facilities;
- Maintaining, cleaning, and protecting the road corridor and drainage systems;
- Removing damaged and abandoned vehicles, dead animals, and other items from local roads and streets;
- Snow and ice cleaning from road surfaces and bus stop surfaces, and salting roads in curves and steep inclines;
- Installation and cleaning of horizontal and vertical, light, and sound traffic signals;
- Other road and facility maintenance works.
Maintenance of Watercourse Beds of Local Importance, which includes:
- Arranging and maintaining cleanliness and protection of watercourse beds;
- Ensuring the unobstructed flow of water.
Maintenance of Public Cemeteries, Chapels, and Similar Facilities, and Burial Services, which includes:
- Maintenance of cemeteries and facilities located within cemeteries (chapels, etc.);
- Maintaining order and cleanliness in cemeteries;
- Renting burial plots;
- Burial or cremation services;
- Transfer and transport of deceased remains, storing remains, use of chapels, use of refrigeration chambers, etc.;
- Construction of tombs and excavation of burial sites.
Maintenance of Markets, which includes:
- Managing markets and maintaining organized open or closed spaces and facilities used for the sale of fresh agricultural and food products, livestock, handicrafts, and other consumer goods;
- Providing accompanying services (visibly marked market areas separated from surrounding areas, clear days and times of market trading, providing scales for checking purchased goods (control scales), with clear location markings, ensuring easy access to those scales; ensuring conditions for inspections to be present during market trading) in accordance with the law and this agreement.
Maintenance of Public Toilets, which includes:
- Maintaining and ensuring the functional correctness of public toilets;
- Maintaining sanitary and hygienic conditions in these facilities.
Handling Abandoned or Lost Animals, which includes:
- Collecting and transporting lost and abandoned animals to the facility where they are cared for and possibly rehomed;
- Managing and maintaining the facility built for housing abandoned or lost pets.
