Forssa Vocational Institute is a secondary vocational school owned by the Southwest Häme Association of Municipalities for Vocational Education. The consortium includes Forssa , Humppila , Jokioinen , Somero , Tammela , Urjala and Ypäjä .
Industries
The institution provides training in the following fields:
- In the cultural field, training is provided in the craft, arts and crafts and communications lines. The Handicraft and Art Industry section operates in Tammela; previously, teaching was provided by the Tammela School of Crafts and Design.
- Business, commerce and data processing cover the teaching previously given by the old business school. The premises for the business sector have been renovated to the old premises of the former technical school.
- The nutrition industry trains catering chefs and service managers.
- In the social field, nurses and beauticians are trained. Previously, community nurses were trained in a separate health care institution.
- The field of technology and transport forms the bulk of the “old vocational school”. Training is provided in the transport, vehicle, metal, HVAC, wood, construction and electrical sectors.
