The establishment of the Study and Information Center of the school aims to introduce systematic education of information literacy of pupils in the conditions of the school, which includes teaching, graduation and extension fields, language school and consultation center of the Silesian University in Opava. In the study and information center, students will acquire abilities, skills and knowledge considered as part of information literacy.

Using information and communication technology resources and working with information is considered one of the key competencies according to the individual FEPs. This means that graduates will gain the ability to work with ICT resources and, in addition, will gain the ability to obtain information from various sources, effectively use the information obtained and also credibly assess information sources.
