The effort and dedication of our professionals in recent years has received the recognition that is fully deserved. The Hospital de Barcelos has been recognized as the best Hospital in the group of hospitals it integrates, of the National Health Service. It was so in 2014 and 2015 and, more recently, in 2017, through the award of the Consistency Prize, which evaluated the last three years of activity. This was only possible with the involvement of all employees, in a plan of increasing demand and on a basis of commitment to a public service of quality and responsibility.
We do not hide the constraints and constraints that the physical structure of our hospital presents, particularly to users. In a first approach, it would even be easy to make use of these difficulties to justify results that we have not achieved. We believe, however, that the existing limitations can only constitute a challenge, which must demand even more responsibility and capacity for action, so that health care maintains the required quality standard.
