About the hospital
The hospital with the Havířov po polyclinic was ceremoniously opened in December 1969. Since 1 January 2003, it has been a contributory organization of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
We are the only inpatient medical facility in the city of Havířov. We provide health services for approximately 100,000 inhabitants of Havířov and its surroundings. We provide health care in inpatient departments, ie surgical department, urology department, gynecology and obstetrics department, ENT department, internal department, pediatric and neonatal department, neurology department, infection department, geriatric department, psychiatric department, rehabilitation department, ARO department, MOJIP , hematology department and LDN. We also provide the operation of complement, central reception, specialist clinics, institutional pharmacies and pharmacies for the public. Last but not least, we also provide the operation of an emergency medical service in Havířov and a dental emergency service at a locally isolated workplace on the hospital premises.
As of 31 December 2018, inpatient care was provided on 414 standard beds and intensive care units (including ARO), and follow-up care was provided at 1 inpatient station (LDN) with 30 beds. In 2018, 14,725 patients in acute beds and 231 patients in aftercare beds were hospitalized in our hospital. We recorded 637 births and 4,275 operations were performed. We also provide outpatient health services in specialist outpatient clinics, which fall under separate primary offices or are run independently under a polyclinic. There are 87 ambulances in the hospital. In 2018, 212,207 examinations were performed at the hospital on an outpatient basis. The hospitalization and the outpatient clinic are followed by complementary care in the departments of OKB, RDG, OKH, pathology, COS and nephrology.
As of 31 December 2018, NsP Havířov had a total of 921 full-time employees, of which 750 were women. At the end of the year, 163 people worked part-time. 238 employees were employed by the NsP for non-employment agreements.
