The Figueira da Foz Technological and Professional Institute ( INTEP ) takes as a vision the recognition of its Educational Project as a reference in the field of education and professional training at local and regional level. Aware that the act of “educating” is not confined only to the transmission of knowledge, but also includes the appreciation of the individual, endowing him with a set of rules and norms of knowing how to be. Based on this assumption, INTEP defines two important lines of action:  

• Professional requirement: 
  Provide students with technical skills that are representative of the demands of the labor market;  
  Instill lifelong learning dynamics;  
  Qualify students with practical knowledge based on experience and the rigor of “knowing how to do”.

• Personal appreciation:
• Educating students to “know how to be” and “to know how to be” preparing them for active citizenship;
• Guide students to team work, making them responsible for complying with rules, schedules and deadlines;
• Promote autonomy, responsibility and an entrepreneurial attitude among students, contributing to their individual appreciation in society.

The INTEP assumes mission is to provide quality education, forming self – reliant, responsible, creative, competent and entrepreneurs, constantly seeking the recognition of the training provided by the community in which it operates. Constantly seek to improve the levels of effectiveness, efficiency and quality, through a dynamic that is intended to be innovative, creative, demanding and rigorous.
