The International House Braga is a reference school in the city of Braga since 1985 and member of the   International House World Organization (IHWO), a network of 160 schools in 52 countries, recognized worldwide for high quality in language teaching and pioneer in teacher training .

A STORY FULL OF SUCCESSES!

In 1985, Jeff Hooton and Henry Warren taught English in Coimbra, but heard that Braga was the youngest city in the country. They then headed north and found a welcoming city full of young people (in age and spirit) and professionals who wanted to learn English so they could communicate correctly.

In October 1985, the first classes started and, since that date, International House Braga (IH Braga) has become the region’s reference school in the teaching of foreign languages.
Until this year, more than 15000 students and 115 teachers have passed through No. 168 of Rua dos Chãos, and this year we are already more than 750.

IH Braga is part of the  International House World Organization (IH World), founded in 1953 and headquartered in London. IH World is a network made up of more than 150 schools around the world and its goal is to guarantee excellence in language teaching in all associated schools.

In 1963 International House Portugal (IH Portugal) was founded with the opening of the first school in Lisbon. Since its foundation, IH Portugal has expanded to nine more cities on the continent and teaches approximately 6,000 students per year.
