International University of Andalucía

The International University of Andalucía or UNIA is a university in Andalusia, set up in 1994 to complete the region’s educational system. It offers postgraduate and specialty courses. It has campuses in four Andalusian provinces: HuelvaJaénMálaga, and Seville.

The International University of Andalusia is a unique institution within the public system of Andalusian universities. It was conceived, 25 years ago, as a mechanism to support the Andalusian science and technology system in postgraduate training, research and transfer, digitization, permanent training and internationalization.

I have had the honor of being appointed Rector of this University and from these digital pages I want to give a cordial greeting to all those who look at them.

Many things have changed in the last 25 years in our universities and in our society. In particular, a new reference framework for university training and research has been developed, known as the European Higher Education Area, and the use of new information and communication technologies has become widespread.

Responding adequately to these changes is a permanent challenge that we must face and that I hope to be able to tackle with the collaboration of all those who share this project. I would like to express from the beginning my commitment to the task of making UNIA   a benchmark in teaching innovation and in the use of information and communication technologies applied to training, successfully developing a virtual learning environment that helps students student to develop skills and abilities adapted to the increasingly versatile needs demanded by the job market of the future.
