Järvenpää High School is the second largest high school in Finland, operating in the Pajala district of Järvenpää . In the evenings, the adult line teaches in the premises of Järvenpää High School and Järvenpää Workers’ College courses are also held there .
The high school offers a very wide range of courses each year, consisting of a large number of the school’s own advanced courses. A total of more than 300 different courses are offered each year.
Studying
Järvenpää High School is a normal day high school, where it is possible to apply for a joint search for music, visual arts and media, sports or special science science. In addition to the special lines, the school has offered the opportunity to apply for the day high school’s specialization options Economics and Entrepreneurship and Dance. These lines are applied for through the normal day high school joint search.
Sports
Järvenpää High School supports the well-being of its students and encourages them to exercise. The school also has a team involved in the annual Finnish Sports Association Championships in basketball, hockey and football.
Exercise line
- Students interested in exercise can apply for a high school separate line in their own search. Selection criteria for common points (average, species skills)
- Those interested in physical education (usually their own sport) studying on the general line can apply for morning coaching for sports line members. After general line approval, self-search.
- For top sports (minimum SM places 1-8 / national team camps), course performance is distributed on a case-by-case basis.
