The public institution high school center “Mihajlo Pupin” is located in Derventa and was founded in 1912. For the first two years since the founding of the school, it was called the Small Real High School in Derventa and since then it has changed several names, and from the school year 2014/15. is called JU SSC “Mihajlo Pupin” Derventa, after the Serbian scientist Mihajlo Pupin.

School library

JU SSC “Mihajlo Pupin” shares the library with the neighboring Vocational and Technical School. The library is located in a separate building located between the buildings of these two schools. This library is used by a total of 47 classes from both schools. The library has about 20,000 books. The book fund includes a reading program for all classes, but the number of some titles is not sufficient for the needs of students. In addition to reading material, the library also contains professional books for certain subjects. The library consists of two large rooms and one smaller one with an archive of graduation papers and some rare books. The library also has a reading room that can accommodate 20 to 30 readers.
