The often vaunted SaaleHorizontale is actually a fulfillment for nature and hiking enthusiasts. On a route of 72 kilometers you get castles, parks, forest and meadow landscapes like from a fairy tale book, but above all great views of Jena.

Great works of international art history for Jena and visitors to the city. The urban Art collection Jena With its changing exhibition program, it pursues a tradition of presenting and discussing works of classical modern and contemporary art. The art collection is housed in the Jena City Museum.

Of the Botanic Gardenhowever, is the second oldest system of this type in Germany.
