Jugoprevoz Kruševac” a.d. Kruševac

We proudly highlight that we have been providing passenger transportation in scheduled services for a full 69 years

We started back in 1945 as a transport center with just a few prized trucks. We have traveled nearly seven decades across flat and steep terrains, through rain and snow, over sand and mud, on gravel and asphalt… and here we are still on the marked path. Today, we are a joint-stock company with 130 buses and bus stations in Kruševac, Trstenik, Aleksandrovac, Brus, Blace, Varvarin, and Ćićevac, as well as workshops for vehicle repair and maintenance. We cover over 9 million kilometers and transport 10 million passengers annually. All capital is owned by current and former employees.

We operate solely on a self-financing basis. We thank you for your trust, and if you haven’t yet, choose a reliable carrier with a long tradition and reputation.

Travel with us — you will help reduce traffic congestion in cities, avoid parking problems, and save both money and time.

History

Just before World War II, the Kruševac region had five buses operating routes to Aleksandrovac, Brus, Ražanj, Vrnjačka Banja, and Ribarska Banja. The first buses appeared in this area only a few years after World War I. The first scheduled public bus line started operating in 1925, running from the railway station in Đunis to Ribarska Banja. The pioneers of road transport in that era were Josa Janković from Ribara, Šogun from Aleksandrovac, and Papaček from Brus. Buses departed from the then-famous Kruševac cafés: Šoškić, Bratić, Solun, Musa, and Marko. During the turmoil of World War II, 80% of vehicles in Serbia were destroyed. In October 1945, the new People’s Government established the General Transport Company with transport centers throughout Serbia. The Kruševac Transport Center was founded at the end of the same year, specifically on December 11, 1945, which is also considered the founding date of this company. The center initially had 8 trucks (7 Dodge and 1 Ford) transporting passengers on five routes to Ribarska Banja, Aleksandrovac, Brus, Ražanj, and Krčin. The first center manager was Dragan Miletić, and the traffic chief was Žika Protić.

The management office was located near the Novaković pharmacy, while the garage was near the Green Market. The first post-war vehicle resembling a bus arrived in Kruševac at the end of 1946. It was built in Smederevska Palanka on a Chevrolet truck chassis, named JESENICA, and had 25 seats.

Soon after, the first Renault Schneider bus with 35 seats arrived, affectionately named Rosa. It was driven by driver Svela Vuković. By order of the Prime Minister on February 18, 1947, the General Transport Company was renamed the Bus Company “Lasta,” and a month later, the Kruševac Transport Center became the City Transport Company “Munja.” The first bus station was located near the then Kopaonik café. The waiting room and ticket office were inside the café, offices were upstairs, and the garage was at the airport. The City Transport Company “Munja” existed until 1953. In that year, a new company named “Đorđe Đorđević Beli” was formed, which soon changed its name to the Kruševac Bus Company.

In mid-1955, nine buses known as “LONDONCA” arrived, followed later by buses from manufacturers TAM, ČEPEL, FAP, and others. New bus routes were opened to Blace, Blaževo, Prokuplje (later extended to Kuršumlija), Užice (then Titovo), and locally to Kupci, Žabar, Kaonik, Stalać, and Padež. In 1957, the then longest bus route Kruševac – Kragujevac – Belgrade was opened. Daily service on this route led to the purchase of four of the most modern Alfa Romeo buses. In 1959, the Kruševac Bus Company changed its name to Autotransport.

Rapid industrial growth, market expansion, and the construction and modernization of the road network during the 1960s and 1970s led to further development…

Passengers have the right to use transportation services in urban, suburban, and intercity traffic if they possess a valid ticket for the corresponding route. For travel on AD “Jugoprevoz Kruševac” buses, passengers can use a single-ride ticket, a return ticket, or a monthly pass. Single-ride and return tickets can be purchased at AD “Jugoprevoz Kruševac” ticket counters or directly on the bus, while monthly passes are available at the AS Kruševac counters and other sales points.
