Educational goals and intentions

  • Develop children in the mental, physical and social spheres.
  • To strive for the child at the end of his / her pre-school period to be a unique and relatively independent personality, able to cope, if possible actively and with personal satisfaction, such demands of life that are normally placed on him, as well as those .
  • To develop and support the child’s independence, healthy self-confidence, to lay the foundations of lifelong learning for all children according to their abilities, interests and needs, to teach them a healthy lifestyle, to be aware of responsibility for their behavior and actions, all together with parents.
  • In education, prioritize sensory perception as the basis of all natural cognition. The importance is placed on the development of communicative skills, pre-mathematical literacy and physical fitness.

We want all children to feel safe, to experience feelings of success, we respect their uniqueness, their possibilities and their individuality. Our intention is for children to be happy and satisfied in kindergarten, and for a way of cooperation, mutual trust and openness to be created in the care of them together with their parents.

Educational content

The educational content is processed into five integrated blocks (hereinafter IB), which are common to all classes. IBs are general, outline goals and objectives, a brief description of the educational offer, areas of activities, expected outputs and their elaboration is the subject of TVP PV. They are derived from the natural cycle of the seasons and the natural and social situations associated with them.

1. IB – “Every day with friends, we play with autumn.”

We will get to know each other, know the names of friends. We will get acquainted with the rules of cohabitation in kindergarten and with the principles of safe behavior in class and when staying outside. We get to know the environment of the kindergarten and its surroundings. We will perceive changes in nature and be aware of the characteristics of this period. We will get to know and name some fruits, vegetables and other fruits of autumn. When distinguishing perceived phenomena, we involve all the senses – sight, taste, smell and touch. We will develop handling abilities, skills and fine motor skills when working with natural products.

During this period, we will observe how autumn nature and the animals in it prepare for winter. We will monitor the impact of weather on nature and people, how to protect and strengthen their health.

We will get acquainted with time concepts and try out some work activities. We will encourage children to enjoy musical activities.

2. IB – “Magic Christmas time, after a year it comes again.”

We will get acquainted with the customs and traditions that belong to the pre-Christmas and Christmas times. We perceive the atmosphere around us, we notice the decorations and behavior of people. We will bake cookies, welcome Mikuláš with a song and a poem, get acquainted with Christmas carols and songs. We will learn why we actually celebrate Christmas and where this tradition comes from. Let us recall the meanings of the holidays in this period – the story of the Three Kings.

3. IB – “Winter, cold, winter, throws white feathers.”

We will get acquainted with the typical features of this period. Let us recall the meanings of the holidays in this period – the story of the Three Kings. We will experience different types of winter sports with the children. We will draw the children’s attention to the need to help the animals in the winter – visiting the feeder, sprinkling the birds in the feeder in the school garden.

We will focus on learning about the traditions and customs in the winter. We will get acquainted with the holidays of Shrovetide and carnival festivities. We will get to know the human body and its protection against disease and injury. We will get acquainted with the crafts and professions of people.

4. IB – “Spring, sun, mom, this is a beautiful world.”

The period of the ending winter and the beginning of the spring. We will get acquainted with the typical features of spring, the first spring flowers. As the seeds speed up, the children know what the plants need to grow. We will awaken in children a feeling for books by reading fairy tales and looking at various illustrations. We will get acquainted with musical instruments.

We will experience the Easter holidays together, perceive the awakening spring and changes in spring nature. We will get acquainted with domestic animals and their young. We will get to know and distinguish means of transport, we will get acquainted with the behavior of a road user. We will play typical games for the spring season.

5. IB – “The sun shines on all faces, it shines justly. It belongs to people all, like water, air and earth. “

We will tell each other about our family, we will commemorate Mother’s Day. We will observe and perceive how everything around us blooms and smells. When staying outside we will observe the differences between shrubs and trees. We will practice dexterity and speed during the traditional school Olympics on a nearby tartan playground. We will celebrate the international children’s holiday. We will admire the beauty of our city, explore life in the meadow (insects, flowers), get acquainted with the water cycle. We will tell and get to know exotic animals and their way of life.
