Company History
LLC “Komunalno/Komunale” was established with the aim of carrying out work of public interest, forming one of the key segments of municipal activities. The continuous execution of these activities contributes to the preservation and protection of the environment and, in general, to improving living and working conditions in the territory of the Municipality of Tuzi.
City Cleanliness Maintenance Program
The City Cleanliness Maintenance Program includes activities related to maintaining the cleanliness of streets, sidewalks, squares, and other developed and undeveloped public areas.
The company “Komunalno/Komunale” Tuzi is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and for the removal of municipal waste from these areas. The maintenance of cleanliness on other surfaces is carried out by legal and natural persons who manage or use those areas. Waste removal for these entities is performed by the company based on invoices or contracts.
The program outlines the areas designated for maintenance, cleaning, and washing, as well as the schedule and method of public cleanliness maintenance, waste collection, and disposal of municipal and bulky waste from the city and suburban areas. Additionally, the program provides an approximate financial estimate for its implementation.
Until a specific pricing plan for services is determined, the company will follow the pricing plan established by the Capital City, in accordance with Article 6 of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Communal Services (Official Gazette of Montenegro No. 066/19, dated December 6, 2019).
Waste Collection and Disposal
The cleaning schedule, waste container emptying, and transport of collected waste to the sanitary landfill “Livade” in Podgorica—as well as bulky waste disposal to the temporary landfill used by DOO “Komunalno/Komunale” Tuzi and subsequently to a landfill designated by the Capital City under a contract with DOO “Deponija”—will be determined based on actual needs. Until a new assessment is conducted, the current schedule will remain:
- City center: twice daily
- Suburban areas: once daily
- Businesses: as needed
- Bulky waste: once a week, or as needed
In the near future, as conditions and needs arise, the company will work on establishing a pricing system and new waste collection schedules.
The company will take into account:
- The need to improve the quality of city cleanliness maintenance
- The necessary expenses for executing planned activities
- The cost of waste removal and disposal at the “Livade” landfill in Podgorica
- The cost of machinery and personnel for bulky waste removal and temporary storage
- The wages of field workers
- The technical capacity of the company

Estimated annual bulky waste: 250 tons, requiring a budget of around €50,000 per year.
Household Waste Collection and Disposal
According to Article 19 of the Law on Communal Activities, Articles 9 and 10 of the Municipal Order of the Municipality of Tuzi, and Article 9 of the Statute of DOO “Komunalno/Komunale” Tuzi, the company is responsible for the removal and disposal of household waste.
