The company “Megapromet” – Budva has its headquarters and central administration located at Mainski put bb. It was founded on November 19, 2002, as a single-member Limited Liability Company, with Miodrag – Mišo Mitrović from Budva as its founder.
Over time, through gained experience, steady growth, and expansion, the company has shaped its business model as a family-run enterprise. The philosophy of the family as the foundation of every society is dominant in every organizational unit as well as in every business process within the company. Employees are considered members of the family and are treated accordingly, while they reciprocate with dedication and a committed attitude toward every customer and consumer.
The company is still led by its founder, Miodrag Mišo Mitrović, a merchant with over 45 years of experience in the trade sector. He continues to support the management team with his selfless advice and guidance in setting both short-term and long-term goals, as well as in shaping business procedures to achieve them.
Members of the founder’s immediate family are also engaged in the management of “Megapromet” LLC. These are young, educated, and skilled professionals, each specializing in their respective areas, who are capable of taking on responsibilities for the company’s further development and thereby contributing to the continuation of the family tradition and its successful business operations.
The company’s core activity is the wholesale and retail trade of food products and household goods.
Modern Equipment
All facilities are equipped with modern equipment, cold storage units, and refrigeration systems. In its operations, the company also utilizes advanced payment methods, which include not only payment cards from all major global brands but also premium and pay pass cards issued by Hipotekarna Bank, as well as various loyalty programs and projects.
Of particular importance is the company’s implementation of the HACCP system, recognized worldwide as a strict quality control standard, whose requirements the company successfully meets. The introduction of a home delivery service for goods is also in preparation, in cooperation with international organizations that have achieved notable results both locally and internationally.
Stable Growth
Since its founding, the company has recorded consistent growth—not only in profit and fixed assets, but across all key business performance indicators. All these indicators have increased more than elevenfold, including revenue, the value of fixed assets and equity, as well as the number of employees, which currently stands at around 300. Like the rest of the Montenegrin economy, the company’s development was slowed by the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as early as 2021, the company resumed the growth path it had followed prior to the onset of the pandemic in 2020.
By adapting to new market conditions, responding to increased competition, and restructuring its short- and long-term goals, the company implemented updated and innovative short-term development strategies that began yielding positive results already in 2021.
The company’s development has been characterized by stability based on realistic capabilities, without any acquisitions, mergers, takeovers of other companies, or diversification of its core business. Growth has occurred steadily, without major leaps, primarily funded through internal resources and supported by minimal bank credit.
Contributions
The company fulfills all its obligations diligently—whether to suppliers, service providers, or, most notably, to the state in the form of taxes, contributions, and other dues. It is worth noting that for over seven years, the company has been a regular member of the White Tax List published monthly by the Revenue and Customs Administration of Montenegro.

The emphasis will be placed on identifying new and trending products and brands from the international market and introducing them to the Montenegrin market through both retail and wholesale channels.
