in Jiráskova Street in the so-called Kalin House . The birth house of the writer Alois Jirásek (1851 – 1930) dates from the end of the 18th century and belongs to the monuments of folk architecture. Mineral springs spring in the adjacent park
Hronovka and Regnerka with alkaline – ferrous water. Next to his native house stands Jirásek’s bronze statue – the work of sculptor Josef Malejovský.
On the hill we can see the late renaissance bell tower in 1610 and next to it the church of All Saints . Originally a Gothic church, rebuilt in the Baroque style in the years 1713 – 1717 and 1736. The road from the square towards Žďárky takes us to the summer residence of Alois Jirásek, who regularly spent his holidays here with his family since 1916. Here he celebrated his 70th birthday, during which he was visited by President TG Masaryk.
On the main road to Náchod, on the house where he spent his childhood, there is a memorial plaque of the writer Egon Hostovský (1908 – 1973), designed by a native of Hronov, painter Ivan Krejčí. Almost opposite this house once stood the native cottage of the writer Josef Čapek (1887 – 1945), which, however, had to give way to the new needs of the time. In its place originally stood a small monument, which was due to the construction of a training center moved to a park for rafting.
