At the center of the shield are toponymic symbols of the municipality, represented by two crossed branches of the Turkey oak (Quercus cerris) and the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur).
The name Crnac originates from the settlement of the same name, which, in turn, is derived from the Turkey oak (cer), once abundant in this area. The second-largest settlement in the municipality is Veliki Rastovac, which also has a name related to oak trees (Hrastovac or Rastovac).
The branches differ slightly in the shape of their oak leaves and acorns. They connect at the base, forming a unified figure, with their diagonal arrangement resembling the reed cross of Saint John the Baptist.
Saint John the Baptist is the patron saint of the Municipality of Crnac. The elements of the coat of arms, as well as the shield itself, are outlined with a black border.
