The forested hill lies between the villages of Kosmonosy, Horní Stakory and Bakov nad Jizerou. There are also two ponds and small seasonal watercourses. The reason for the announcement was originally the nesting of songbirds, later rare flora and the whole ecosystem. The area is a typical example of Central Bohemian chlum with grove flora. The important hill in the landscape is formed by prepared neovolcanic chimneys of Dědka and the higher Baby. Both peaks are disturbed by numerous cracks and old mining. Numerous landslides are significant. The natural significance is underlined by the presence of many rare species of higher plants.
