History
- Nørmark Privathospital started in March 1997 on Parkvej in Næstved, where Finn Nørmark opened his first orthopedic surgery clinic. Upon his arrival in Næstved, the citizens were given the opportunity for the first time to have binocular surgery on their knees outside the hospital.
- In the year 2000, Nørmark Orthopedic Surgery Clinic moved to a larger environment on Strandmarksvej in Hvidovre. There were two operating rooms and the number of employees increased from 3 to 4, in addition to some consultants.
- Finally in 2004 it became necessary to move again. Once again, we got more square feet and larger operating rooms. Nørmark Privathospital employed an extra doctor for the first time and thus also the necessary secretary and nurse, so now the number of employees was up to 8.
- In 2006, another doctor was hired, along with even more staff. In the same year, Nørmark Privathospital invested in an open MRI scanner, which was inaugurated by Ishøj’s mayor Ole Bjørstorp. This meant further expansion and employment of radiographers and radiologists.
- In 2009, Nørmark Privathospital expanded to 800 m2 and a completely new wing with a fully equipped imaging department saw the light of day. Now, in addition to MRI scanning, we could also offer X-rays, ultrasound scans and mammography.
- In 2013, Nørmark Privathospital expanded once more, and we now have 1400 m2. We are now 30 colleagues who do what we can on a daily basis to give our patients a good experience
Practical information
Help us learn if something should go wrong
Every day there are many people in contact with the Danish healthcare system. In the vast majority of processes, things go well, but sometimes unfortunate events or mistakes unfortunately occur.
In order for us to learn from these and avoid them in the future, you have the opportunity to report unintended events to the Danish Patient Safety Database (DPSD). If you as a patient or relative experience an unintended event, information can be obtained via the Danish Agency for Patient Safety’s information booklet: “Help us to get better” on a website under the Danish Agency for Patient Safety.
Complaints
- Do you want to complain about the professional treatment or violation of patient rights or do you want to complain about the Patient Insurance’s decision on compensation, you can read more about this on the Danish Agency for Patient Safety’s website
Compensation
- All patients affiliated with Privathospitalet are covered by a public compensation scheme. It is the task of the Patient Compensation to ensure that patients receive the compensation they are entitled to under the law. You can read more on the Patient Compensation website .
