The company Zračna luka Osijek d.o.o. is the operator and the only handling agent of Osijek Airport. We provide service and individual approach to each carrier:
- Ground handling of all general aviation aircraft
- Traffic coordination (flight announcement, approval and organization of ground handling)
- Operations (service control, aircraft movement messages, connecting with the freight forwarder, sanitary, and veterinary inspection, planning of loading and unloading, charge of provided services, crew transportation and accommodation)
Mission
The mission of Osijek Airport is active involvement into Croatian, European and global transport and economic flows while continuously investing in infrastructure (adjusting it to needs of traffic growth and requirements for safe and regular traffic flow), implementing new technologies and, in particular, educating and training all employees with the aim of achieving expert and professional performance of the principal activity.

The vision of Osijek Airport is to become an international regional airport with continuous year-round traffic which supports and promotes the economic growth and development of eastern Croatia and the whole region, ensuring high quality and highest standards in all segments of provided services.
Services
- General Aviation
The principal activity of the airport includes a set of activities which primarily cover ground handling of aircraft, passengers, goods and mail. The airport has one runway, 2500 m in length and 45 m in width, apron for aircraft 300 x 90 m in size and all the equipment necessary for ground handling of aircraft up to 190 tons, i.e., aircraft up to and including firefighting category VII.
A passenger terminal 1800 m2 in surface allows the flow of 200 to 400 passengers per hour, i.e., 100,000 to 150,000 passengers per year.
- Cargo
Osijek Airport is the only airport in Croatia where cargo is the primary strategic dimension. Osijek Airport was built in 1980 as an alternative to Belgrade Airport with the aim of handling primarily cargo/freight air traffic. Osijek Airport has serious aspirations regarding the development of its cargo activities and has carried out many ad hoc operations involving cargo aircraft, mostly IL 76 type, which face significant problems in EU Member States. By providing service for such aircraft we gained comparative advantage over other airports in EU Member States, especially by transporting highly perishable foodstuffs, electronic, humanitarian or high value goods on routes between the European Union and countries of Africa, Asia and Middle East. Osijek Airport is the right choice for your cargo needs. Osijek Airport is located at the doorstep of the European Union; on the Vc Pan-European corridor Budapest – Osijek – Sarajevo – Ploče, connecting Central Europe with the Adriatic Sea. Excellent road and railway infrastructure, along with the position of approximately 20 km off the rivers Drava and Danube, allows Osijek Airport to be a link in the chain of multimodal transportation options of Croatia, Hungary, Serbia and Bosna and Herzegovina. The advantages cargo airlines gain from using Osijek Airport: Osijek Airport has an organized truck terminal, i.e., we offer ground handling services for trucks, storage of goods, customs services and sampling of goods (we have an approval for storage of goods subject to sanitary inspection and do not require special storage conditions) via a customs office already present at the Osijek Airport. Our location and infrastructure are excellent. We have modern facilities and equipment, and we offer 24/7 service, independent ground handling, freight forwarding, customs representation, and veterinary and sanitary inspection.

Warehouses: Osijek Airport operates via its public warehouse, as well as via the customs warehouse type A, which allows domestic economic operators to, without customs and tax burdens, store goods owned by them or a third party (a currently unknown customer). Storage takes place in a high-quality storage area 1710 m² in size, and it is carried out by employees qualified for managing storage procedure (customs or public). Clients have all the necessary equipment and systems for handling of goods at their disposal. The large storage area is divided into 3 parts that are physically separated by a wire fence. All entrances to the storage area can be easily sealed. Within this large area, one of the compartments is used as a customs warehouse type A only. We are available to all potential business partners for further clarifications, tours or arrangements regarding special conditions. more information
