The Public Utility Company “Standard” Šid was established to ensure the continuous performance of activities of general interest, as well as to regularly meet the needs of users of products and services, particularly for:
- Maintaining cleanliness on public surfaces, washing asphalt, concrete, paved, and other public areas, collecting and disposing of municipal waste from these surfaces, maintaining and emptying waste containers in public areas, as well as maintaining public fountains, wells, fountains, pools, beaches, and sanitary facilities;
- Maintaining public green areas, ongoing and investment maintenance, and rehabilitation of green recreational areas and coastal zones;
- Managing the marketplace, providing municipal infrastructure, maintaining and organizing activities in enclosed and open areas designated for the sale of agricultural, food, and other products;
- Managing public parking lots and maintaining conditions for the use of public traffic areas and designated spaces for parking motor vehicles, as well as removing and relocating parked vehicles and installing devices to prevent vehicle removal upon the order of the competent authority;
- Managing and maintaining cemeteries and facilities within cemeteries (mortuaries, chapels, and crematoriums), burial or cremation services, maintenance of passive graveyards and memorials, as well as transporting human remains from the place of death to the mortuary at the cemetery or the crematorium;
- Chimney cleaning services and inspection of flue and combustion systems and devices, as well as ventilation channels and equipment;
- Capturing, sheltering, providing veterinary care, and housing abandoned and lost animals (dogs and cats) in animal shelters, euthanizing incurably ill and injured abandoned and lost animals, controlling and reducing the population of stray dogs and cats, safe removal of animal carcasses from public areas to facilities for collection, processing, or disposal of animal waste, implementing measures for pest control and reduction of harmful organisms, rodents, and insects, as well as carrying out disinfection, disinsection, and deratization of public areas.

City Greenery
The maintenance of green spaces includes the upkeep of parks, tree-lined streets, green oases, flower beds, roadsides, courtyards, cemeteries, and similar areas.
Parking Service
The parking service manages 250 parking spaces, with 176 in the blue zone and 74 in the red zone.
Funeral Services
The funeral service is located on Cara Lazara Street, near the Orthodox cemetery.
Animal Hygiene
This unit organizes and carries out activities related to the removal of stray dogs from the municipality and suburban areas.
City Hygiene
The company’s core activity is the collection and disposal of household and industrial waste.
City Market
The primary function of this unit is the management of the city market.
