The San Giovanni Nursing Home , a private facility accredited with the Health System inaugurated in 1968, is located in Via Matteo Civitali, 71 in zone 16 of Milan near the football stadium and the hippodrome.

It refers to a user of more than 500,000 citizens residing throughout the western sector of the city.

He has completed the expansion and restructuring works of the external access, of the admission rooms, of the operating block, of the outpatient clinic and of the wards.

The interventions carried out, together with the design criteria and the reasons for the choices made, are in relation to the most modern design criteria for hospital environments and the environmental profile of the intervention area.

The general structure of the structure responds to the needs established by the accreditation standards established by the Lombardy Region, creating a reference model for healthcare assistance to citizens within the scope of their competences.

THE BUILDING

The building consists of a seven-storey monobloc and a basement floor. In front of the building there is a garden area . The Nursing Home has 50 beds accredited with the National Health System. The main entrance leads to the ground floor where the Reception, the Admissions Secretariat, the Health Department and the Administrative Offices are located.

On the first floor is the outpatient clinic which can be accessed by the main lift or by two flights of stairs. Also on the first floor is the Operating Block.

The hospitalization units are on the second, third, fourth and fifth floors which can be reached by lifts.

On the sixth floor are the Analysis Laboratory and the Conference Room.

In the basement, there is the new Radiology Operational Unit and the Mortuary.
