An insurance policy is a bilateral binding insurance contract between the Insured and the Insurer. Under this contract, the Insured agrees to pay a certain amount (the premium) to the Insurer (insurance company). On the other hand, the Insurer undertakes to pay compensation to the Insured or to a third party (beneficiary of the insurance) in case an insured event occurs. The policy is considered concluded when signed by both contracting parties. The insurance policy form must comply with legally prescribed content requirements. It is also important to note that the general and special insurance terms and conditions, prescribed by the Insurer, are an integral part of the policy, and the Insurer must inform the Insured about them.

The Green Card (Zeleni karton) is an international motor insurance document providing third-party liability coverage for damages caused abroad.

Passenger insurance (car accident insurance) is an optional additional insurance against the risk of car accidents for passengers in the vehicle. This insurance is not mandatory and can be purchased if specified. Our recommendation and practice is to always advise clients to include this coverage.

Passenger insurance in public transport (PUJP) refers to a special type of insurance for vehicles providing public passenger transport. This additional coverage insures passengers inside the public transport vehicle. This insurance is purchased by the passenger when buying a ticket for public transport.

Border insurance is a special type of insurance for foreign nationals entering the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina who do not carry or do not have a Green Card or similar document originating from the country where the vehicle is insured.
