Treat yourself to perfect skiing in Špindlerův Mlýn!
Just as France has its Chamonix and the United States its Aspen, the Czech Republic has Špindlerův Mlýn. If you visit the most famous Czech mountain resort you will find 25 kilometres of groomed ski slopes, 3 snow parks, a U-ramp, 5 chairlifts, 11 ski lifts, 2 children’s parks and 85 kilometres of cross-country trails – all with excellent service. Simply choose one of the five ski areas and enjoy your winter holidays in one of the most beautiful parts of the highest Czech mountains. So, up the slope!
The Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort consists of five ski centres. The best-known area is Svatý Petr (St. Peter), followed by Medvědín, Hromovka, Labská, and finally Horní Mísečky. Each of the ski areas offers everything you need for an ideal skiing experience, whether you are a novice or were practically born on skis. Of course, you can use one common ski pass for all of them.
Now Špindlerův Mlýn has a new impressive attraction in the shape of a 6-seat heated chair lift to Pláně. Modern snow making machines will ensure good entertainment and sporting conditions even if the snowfall is not very favourable.
World-class slopes and a wonderful crest
If you are a skier with high demands, you should not miss the slopes in the Svatý Petr ski area, where major sporting events are held each year. In terms of length and climb as well as standard of maintenance, the courses here are the absolute best in the country. You will be taken up to slopes of various difficulty levels by two chairlifts – one four-seater and one two-seater, which leads directly to the FIS World Cup black slope. Nor will snowboarding fans come up short. Waiting for them at Svatý Petr is a large snow park with a U-ramp. Do you like leisurely skiing on sunny slopes? Then head to the Medvědín Ski Area. There is a very good black slope and a red downhill track here, and it is also the perfect starting point for a ski tour along the crest.
