Tombstone in the cemetery in the Old Town a cultural monument 2015
From June 2015, Telč can boast a new immovable cultural monument, which can also become a sought-after destination for tourists and fans of fine arts and history.

It is a tombstone in the cemetery in the Old Town (at grave site no. 151, 152). Its dominant feature is a sandstone statue of a resting angel leaning on a stone vase.

The whole tomb is bounded by granite curbs with cast iron columns, which are interconnected by chains. With its design and execution, this grave is one of the most interesting in the entire cemetery complex and it is probably the only tombstone in Telč, which comes from the important Brno sculptural workshop LOOS & TOMOLA Brno.

It is a quality craft work from the second half of the 19th century. The tombstone completes and refines the entire area of the listed Church of the Mother of God.
