The Torres Novas Professional School was created on August 3, 1991, resulting from the signing of a program contract between the Torres Novas City Council, NERSANT – Santarém Region Business Association, ACIS – Association of Municipality Retailers Torres Novas, Entroncamento, Alcanena and Golegã and the Ministry of Education.

Decree-Law nº4 / 98 of 8 January, when consecrating the figure of owner in substitution of that of promoter, provided for the creation of ATEP – Associação Torrejana de Ensino Profissional, formally constituted on September 29, 1999, having as founding partners the previous promoters.
