Valmiera Olympic Centre promote the development of sport in Valmiera and Vidzeme region. We have created a qualitative sports centre for educational and training activities available for inhabitants of the region. Also we provide best conditions for professional athletes and sports teams.
Universal hall
Universal sports hall is a multifunctional sports and entertainment arena. The hall can be divided into three areas with convertible curtain, allowing parallel training sessions happen in several sports. Universal hall is suitable for high level competitions. Valmiera Olympic centre have hosted Latvian, European and World championships in basketball, floorball, handball, tennis and other sports. Universal hall hosts cultural and entertainment events, concerts and exhibitions.
Valmiera Olympic centre is only ice arena in Vidzeme region. Ice hockey and figure skating trainings and competitions takes place in arena. Also very popular is public skating. Valmiera Olympic centre is great place for training camps. Kontinental Hockey league team “Dinamo Riga” every summer prepairing for season in Valmiera. Capacity of the seating platform is 700 seats.
