Dole is a commune in the Juradepartment in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comtéregion, in eastern France, of which it is a subprefecture (sous-préfecture).

- the chapel of the Visitation College St. Jerome ( xv th century ), Avenue Aristide Briand , inscribed with historical monuments since 1998. It has hosted the Karl Riepp auditorium since 2008;
- the Cordeliers convent ( xvi th century), Rue des Arenas, rated for one party and a subscriber to one another as historical monuments. It now houses the courthouse ;
- the chapel of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit , novel Bridge Driveway ( xvi th century), listed as historical monuments since 1991, now the property of an individual;
- the Carmelite Convent ( xvii th century ), Rue Mont-Roland, part for part, since 1997, and filed for another, since 1999, as historical monuments;
- the convent of the Ladies of Ounans ( xvii th century), Grande Rue, now houses the school Charles Nodier ;
- Chapel of the Hotel Dieu ( xvii th century), Street Bauzonnet, listed since 1928, historical monuments to;

Dole has a rich architectural heritage that constitutes:
- the ancient source of Goux, Rue des Sources;
- Roman Villa Goux ( i st century to iii th century ) in the village cemetery;
- Bridge Romanesque ( xii th century ), Allée du Pont Roman to Azans;
- the St. Jerome College ( xv th century ), Avenue Aristide Briand , listed monuments since 1998;
- the Arc of college ( xvi th century ), Rue du Collège, rated for part in 1964 and registered to another in 1996 with the historic buildings. Today it houses the archaeological museum;
- Grammar College, rue du Collège de l’Arc, educational establishment built in 1583, it operated until 2007. Since 2015, it has hosted the studio of artist Aurélien Benoist;
- the Hospital of the Holy Spirit , novel Bridge Driveway ( xvi th century), listed as historical monuments since 1991;

Green space
- the garden Faulx ( xx th century ), place name „to Faulx“, “ remarkable garden “ rated to 8300 m 2 , with more than 1200 plant species.

- Fish-based dishes ( carp , trout , pike, etc.), very present in the Doubs.
Cultural heritage
Dole has two museums:
- The Museum of Fine Arts and Archeology , Rue des Arènes, open since 1821;
- the birthplace of Louis Pasteur , Rue Pasteur , opened in 1923 and classified as historical monuments.
Dole also has a municipal library – media library , installed in 2000 in the old Hôtel-Dieu of the city, Rue Bauzonnet, classified since 1928, with historical monuments; but also a theater, Rue de Mont-Roland, listed as historical monuments, since 1996, and an auditorium , installed since 2008 in the chapel of the Saint-Jérôme college , Avenue Aristide Briand , listed as historical monuments , since 1998. Finally, we can mention the existence of a large modular performance hall, the Commanderie, hosting shows and concerts.
