Geography
The town of Meudon is built on the hills and valleys of the Seine. The wood of Meudon lies for the most part to the west of the town. The northwest part of Meudon, overlooking the Seine, is known as Bellevue (“beautiful view”).
Like many municipalities, Meudon is made up of different districts (Center-Ville, Bellevue, Val-Fleury, Bas-Meudon and Meudon-la-Forêt), which each have their own characteristic and atmosphere.

- Meudon-la-Forêt, itself divided into seven islets grouped together for statistical information, namely Meudon-la-Forêt 1 to 6, National forest;
- Meudon Center, itself divided into seven islets grouped together for statistical information namely Bellevue 1 and 2, Bas-Meudon 1 and 2, Le Center 1 to 5, Val Fleury 1 to 3.
Economy
Although a choice residential district, access to the railway (RER) and the Seine river have made Meudon a manufacturing center since the 1840s. Metal products and military explosives have been continuously produced there since then.

Railways
In terms of rail, the city is served:
- by line N of the Transilien via Meudon station and Bellevue ;
- by the line C of the RER to the station Meudon – Val Fleury .

Roads
Due to its location in the immediate vicinity of Paris , Meudon benefits from several major roads: mainly the N 118 which crosses the forest of Meudon , connecting the Sèvres bridge to the A10 motorway , and the A86 , ring road around the Island -de-France, interconnecting with the N 118 at the Vélizy 2 shopping center , near the town.
Cycle paths
There are only a few hundred meters of cycle lanes. There is a station Véligo in Meudon Station. There are several Vélib ‘ stations from the extension of the network

The town includes many monuments listed in the general inventory of the cultural heritage of France.
Before the xix th century
- The Pierre aux Moines menhir is located in the forest of Meudon , more precisely in the part called Bois de Clamart, on the territory of the commune of Clamart .
- The Longs Réages cemetery houses the Ker-Han dolmen from Brittany.
- The museum of art and history of Meudon.
- The castle of Meudon has now largely disappeared.
- The Dauphin vegetable garden is located below Avenue du Château.
- La Folie Huvé, country house of architect Jean-Jacques Huvé (1742-1808), badly damaged and masked by buildings, is located on route de Vaugirard in Bas-Meudon.
- La Folie Biancourt.
- The hotel des Montalais is located at 23, route des Gardes .

- The Meudon viaduct or Hélène bridge, built during the construction of the railway line, connecting the Montparnasse station to the Versailles station.
- The Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption church is located in Bellevue.
- The hangar Y is always visible vestige of the Meudon contribution to the development of aviation
- The Meudon Observatory
- The Saint-Philippe orphanage is located in the heights of Val-Fleury.
- The Montalais castle, now demolished, was located on the Montalais estate .
- The Château des Montalets , built above the quarries of Montalets , is located on Boulevard Anatole-France and overlooks the Parc des Montalets .

- Rodin’s tomb and his house, the Villa des Brillants , have become a museum with many works by the artist.
- The Air Museum.
- The Marcel Dupré house is located at 40 boulevard Anatole-France. I
- The Meudon microwave tower is located in the Meudon forest.
- The solar tower of Meudon is located near the castle and was built by the Observatoire de Paris .
- The house-studio of Theo van Doesburg who still serves as artist in residence.
- Meudon Campus.
- The 2,635 social housing units of the Le Parc residence in Meudon-la-Forêt, including 5 and 10-storey buildings built by Fernand Pouillon , were classified as cultural heritage in 2009.
- The Monument to General de Gaulle designed.

- The Chalais-Meudon wind tunnel was built between 1932 and 1934 in the Meudon Aeronautical Center.

The city is also home to many curiosities related to its history and nature:
- the forest of Meudon is home to the Standard Athletic Club, temple of cricket in France;
- the quarries of Meudon are scattered in many places in the city and in the forest. We can notably mention the quarries of Montalets and the quarries of Brillant with nearly eight kilometers;
- the pavement of the Gardes crosses Meudon-sur-Seine and Meudon Bellevue .
