La Garenne-Colombes is usually simply called “La Garenne”, and nicknamed “petit Neuilly“.
Cultural events and festivities
- “La Garenne festival”: it lasts three days, generally in June. Sports and cultural events are organized from Friday to Sunday. There is also a flea market and a garage sale on Saturday and Sunday. A cycling race is organized.
- Forum of associations. It takes place on the first Sunday in September. Presence of all the associations of La Garenne-Colombes. Flea market on the Place de la Liberté (market, church).
- Telethon . Every year, the city of La Garenne-Colombes mobilizes to collect money for the Telethon. Sporting, cultural activities.
- Other independent associations of the municipality offer activities such as ART3C which organizes every year since 2003 “Le Printemps des poètes”.

- The building of the former municipal library, a Second Empire hotel
- The Center market (hall inaugurated in 1879 ) Wednesday and Saturday mornings
- The Vallées market (closed hall inaugurated in 1964 ) Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings
- The Champs-Philippe market on Thursday between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
- The Saint-Urbain church, built between 1866 and 1875 : is notably adorned with three stained-glass windows from 1902 and 1912 , produced by the workshops of Charles Lorin in Chartres and listed in the general inventory of cultural heritage , representing Saint Louis, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Michael and Saint Aubert (berries 5, 6 and 8)
- The Mastaba 1, a work of Jean-Pierre Raynaud , designed in 1986 near the place where his father was buried during the Second World War. The place was bought by the city in 2006. It has been open to the public sinceSeptember 2009 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. only on weekends
- La Colonne, erected in 1865

Cultural heritage
The city inaugurated on Saturday December 10, 2011, a new media library designed by the Richard & Schoeller architecture studio, including in addition to the media library, an auditorium and an exhibition hall. The facade overlooking the Place de La Liberté is entirely covered with screen-printed glass scales. The start of the construction of the media library had been delayed for several months following a decision of the administrative court which had ruled illegal the fact that this public building was designed without a parking space, which was not in accordance with the PLU ( Plan Local d’Urbanisme) in force at the time.The library.The media library (the new library).
