Nyírtelek is a city in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county , in the district of Nyíregyháza . He has appeared under several names throughout history.

It is located in the catchment area of the county seat, to the northwest of it, as part of the Nyugati or Löszös Nyírség micro-region.

- Accessibility by road: The main road 38 crosses the settlement. ~ 3 km from junction 9 of main road 338 .
- Access by bus: from Nyíregyháza, Rakamaz, or less frequently from Tokaj with the 4243 flight operated by Volánbusz .
- Accessibility by bicycle: The Nyíregyháza – Tokaj bicycle route runs parallel to the main road, closed to traffic on the main road.
