The Tourist Promotion Center – Casa da Baía is the main municipal tourist office.
It provides access to information related to the tourist offer in the historic part of the city, beaches , wine , cultural and gastronomic tourism , municipal events, local tour operators and nature reserves.
The promotion, dissemination and commercialization of reference products of the municipality, such as cheese, wines and sweets are in evidence at Casa da Baía, which works in a building from the first half of the 18th century – classified as Municipal Heritage – and which in 2011 gave way to this multifaceted space that brings together all that the best Setúbal has to offer.
Outdoors, in one of the outdoor areas that make up the property, there is a leisure and show area.
The cloisters, a fully covered area, function as a winter garden, a space dedicated to moments of conviviality and leisure, conducive to small cultural events .
In this multifaceted space and the main tourist information post, there are also the confreres of Queijo de Azeitão and Moscatel de Setúbal, as well as the Associação da Baía de Setúbal .
It also offers a meeting room and auditorium for meetings, seminars and colloquia.
Interpretative Center of the bottlenose of the Sado Estuary
Casa da Baía, an authentic living room in the Setúbal region, also includes an exhibition gallery and the Rodent Interpretative Center of the Sado Estuary, created with the aim of valuing and spreading knowledge about the sadina dolphin community.
The Rodado Interpretative Center of the Sado Estuary , designed in a permanent show format, with several panels and interactive tables, occupies the entire area destined to the former Casa da Baía Exhibition Gallery.
Admission is free and the space is available to the public every day from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm.
