Sintika Wine Cellar

Bulgaria

Located in the heart of a region famous for viticulture and winemaking since the time of the Thracians, Sintika Wine Cellar is the new incarnation of the Complex Experimental Station built in the middle of the last century in the town of Sandanski. Over the decades, the experimental agricultural center has developed many branches and variations of different crops, leaving a bright mark through the creation of unique grape varieties Early Melnik vine (Melnik 55), Melnik Rubin, Sandanski Muscat and others.

Inheriting these decades-old traditions in wine production, Sintika Wine Cellar appeared on the Bulgarian wine list in 2008 as an entirely new and modern wine complex.

Sintika Wine Cellar has won dozens of awards from national and international exhibitions, including four Golden Rhyton Awards awarded to Vinaria 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2016. The winery’s own vineyards are located in an extremely favorable region along the Struma River Valley. in close proximity to the Rupite area, the extinct Kozhuh volcano and the ancient Thracian city of Heraclea Sintica.
