Campsite Pisak is situated right at the sea, in a quiet part of town Seline component Paklenica Riviera. With its two sides is surrounded by a beautiful beach. A rich Mediterranean vegetation, pine and tamarisk trees are ideal for shade during the summer months.
Within the camp are modern and newly built toilets so that the basic sanitary toilet for disposal of small babies, family bathroom and a bathroom for people with disabilities. The whole area is covered by wireless internet wi-fi signal. Near the camp are available at grocery, cafe and restaurants mediteran kitchen.
Paklenica the unspoiled nature makes it ideal to visit for the hikers and climbers.

Starigrad-Paklenica – where mountains meet the sea
Starigrad-Paklenica is a charming harbour town on the Velebit Channel, near Paklenica National Park and 45 km south of Karlobag. With Roman roots in the ancient town of Argyruntum, the town combines history, culture, and stunning natural beauty.
The Paklenica National Park offers dramatic canyons, caves like Manita Peć, and hiking and climbing opportunities on the Velebit massif. Starigrad also features pebble beaches, sports facilities, and water-sports options, making it ideal for both active holidays and family relaxation.

St. Peter’s Church – a glimpse into medieval Croatia
Located on the Adriatic highway between Starigrad and Seline, St. Peter’s Church is a medieval pre-Romanesque church dating back to around the 10th century. Nearby, a 13th-century graveyard features stone tombstones with simple reliefs from the 14th–16th centuries. A small adjacent building likely served as a baptistery.
Recent archaeological research continues to uncover new insights into the church’s history.

- Holy Trinity Fortress – 6 km west of Starigrad, one of the largest fortresses from Mljet to Istria, dating back to the 6th century
- Late Classical military hill fortress above Modrič
- Paklarić Fortress – near Paklenica National Park, accessible via an educational trail with panoramic views
- Church of St. George in Rovanjska – approx. 10 km from Starigrad

Excursions in the vicinity of the camp
Kornati National Park
Due to the exceptional beauty of the landscape, the fascinating geomorphology, the greatly indented coastline an the exceptionally rich marine life, a substantial part of the Kornati waters were declared a national park in 1980.
Krka National Park
The national park is a vast, mostly untouched area of exceptional and multiple natural riches, encompassing one or more preserved or insignificantly changed ecosystems. With its seven travertine waterfalls with a total height of 242 m, Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. At the very heart of the national park is a Franciscan monastery, situated on the islet of Visovac.
Plitvice Lakes National Park
The Plitvice Lakes are Croatia’s best-known national park, and are considered to be among the most beautiful sights in Europe. Because of their natural diversity, UNESCO has inscribed them on the list of World Heritage Sites. Plitvice Lakes are a system of 16 interconnected lakes with numerous waterfalls surrounded by thick forests. Visitors will encounter numerous walking trails and small wooden bridges raised just above the still waters of the lakes.
Northern Velebit National Park
The area was declared a national park due to the exceptional variety of karst phenomena, the diversity of wildlife and the exceptional natural beauty of this relatively small area. The park covers an area of 109 km2 and also includes the Hajdučki kukovi and Rožanski kukovi strict nature reserves. These are specific geomorphological phenomena in which over 150 pits have been discovered so far, the best-known of which is Lukina jama (Luke’s Pit), one of the deepest in the world, discovered in 1999.
Zadar
Zadar – centre of the region, was founded 3000 years ago, and is impressive due to its architecture, museums and churches, as well as its rich cultural and entertainment offer.
Zrmanja
The Zrmanja River winds through a 200 m deep canyon before flowing into the sea near Novigrad. Its upper course features travertine waterfalls, the most famous being the 11 m Veliki buk, while Jankovića buk, with old mill remains, is a popular excursion spot. From Starigrad-Paklenica, one can visit Novigrad, the Kurjaković fort above Obrovac, and the Krupa River, Zrmanja’s most interesting tributary. Krupa boasts the Deveterac barrier with nine cascades ending in a 13 m waterfall, and the 19th-century Kudin Bridge, built with 12 drystone arches.
Velebit Jeep Safari
Many of the attractive locations in the Velebit area are accessible only using all-terrain vehicles. That is how you will visit Tulove grede and the Zrmanja River canyon – the locations at which the legendary Winnetou films were shot, drive the historic Velebit roads, and visit the Krupa monastery. We absolutely recommend visiting the spring of the shortest river in Croatia – the Krnjeza. Its source is located at the bottom of a 60 metre deep cave adorned with calcite curtains and stalactites and stalagmites at the entrance, only to converge with the waters of the Zrmanja River a short 600 metres later. Although short, it is as deep as 45 metres in places, and its waters are very cold and clear, excellent for drinking.
