The opening of Hotel Puntijar continues a 175-year family tradition in hospitality. The hotel’s core concept is to preserve and share the authentic “Zagreb spirit” with its guests and future generations.

Designed for lovers of timeless ambiance and tradition, the hotel offers 35 uniquely decorated accommodations, including two junior suites. Carefully selected and restored antique furniture makes the entire interior truly original. Accommodations at Hotel Puntijar

Hotel Puntijar offers a total of 34 uniquely decorated accommodations – 17 double rooms, 13 single rooms, 2 Junior Suites, and one Royal Suite. All rooms are of superior category, very spacious, ranging from 26 to 32 m², while the Junior Suites and Royal Suite are slightly larger at 45 m² and 50 m², respectively. Each room is equipped with a king-size bed, work desk, LED TV, individual air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, telephone, refrigerator, and hairdryer. Upon request, extra beds can be provided.

The rooms also feature a collection of historical books, both domestic and international, as well as encyclopedias, available to every guest who loves reading. The hotel library contains over 500 titles.

While many of the items, paintings, and books are part of the family heritage, the furniture comes from all regions of Croatia and various historical periods. Carefully selected and restored antique furniture makes each room’s interior original. Reflecting different historical eras and artistic styles—from Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-Baroque, and Rococo to Secession—each room exudes its own charm and timeless elegance. Each room also has a unique name, honoring family members, Croatian princes and kings, and saints, thoughtfully preserving their memory.

At Stari Puntijar Restaurant, guests can explore the Gastronomy Museum, home to over 2,000 original cookbooks, 1,000 menus, and hundreds of historical culinary artifacts. The museum takes visitors on a journey through Croatian culinary history, from the first Croatian-language cookbook of 1813 to 20th-century classics, with recipes inspiring the dishes served in the restaurant today.
