  • Tent Hill: The remains of the former Pannonian forest-steppe vegetation can still be found here in a relatively large extent. Its most valuable areas are sloping oak , sloping steppes with karst bush forest patches. There are plenty of rare and protected plants here, e.g. mountain, pretty, shaggy and curling orphan hair , the Hungarian carnation (Dianthus pontederae)
  • Aranyos Valley: an area rich in natural values, its most important plant associations: rock and debris sloping forests, alder groves along the stream, alder bogs, steppe meadows and rocky grasslands. There are also many protected plants here, e.g. the filamentous shield , the werewolf , the mountain orphan hair and the turban lily . Several mammal species live in the area , of which at least 15 species are protected and 1 species is highly protected. Here you can find, among other things, the lynx , the wolf and the wildcat , which are rare in Hungary . Among the reptiles , alpine newt and crested viper occur en masse. From an ornithological point of view, the valley and its surroundings are unique in Hungary and Europe: 19 species of birds are highly protected and 10 also nest in the area.
